The scent of roasted coffee is once again filling the air in Berwick St James, marking the exciting reopening of The Old Forge Farm Shop and Café. This isn't just a business reboot; it's a vibrant affirmation of community spirit and a testament to the power of local sourcing.

Taking the reins are the new owners; Georgia Hansford, pictured, with her husband Rob, and Georgia's mother, Tracey Burt. This family endeavor brings a clear and admiral mission to the village: to become the quintessential destination for food with products sourced as close to home as possible - ideally, all from within the Wiltshire border.

The Old Forge is aiming to be more than just a shop. The owners have made it clear that they want to create a welcoming, central hub. The café is explicitly positioning itself as a family-friendly and dog-friendly destination. This thoughtful approach recognises the shop's role as a vital social space - a place where parents can relax, children can feel welcome, and four-legged companions are greeted with open arms.. It's a place dfor meeting friends, catching up with neighbours, and becoming a cornerstone of village life again.

We wish Georgia, Rob and Tracey every success as they embark on this exciting new chapter. Go visit them and let's all support this fantastic local initiative.

Opening Times

Wednesdays, Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm, and Sunday from 10am to 2pm.
