N.OTICE OF ANNUAL ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR BERWICK ST JAMES
Berwick St James operates as a Village Meeting (Parish Meeting) rather than a Parish Council. A Village Meeting is a gathering of residents (electors) who come together to discuss village business, make suggestions, voice concerns and vote on key issues. Village residents who are on the electoral roll are entitled to vote.
The village is managed by elected officers: Chair, Treasurer and Clerk/Secretary. These officers are elected annually and provide their time on a purely voluntary basis to manage local administration.
The election of officers will take place at the Village Meeting AGM being held on Thursday 28th May 2026. Nominations for any of these positions should be sent to us by no later than 7 days prior to the meeting. Nominations will be proposed and seconded at the AGM.
