Berwick Village Fayre - Sun 8th June '25

The last minute decision to delay our event by 24 hours to Sunday 8th paid off as Saturday’s rain would have put a real dampener on proceedings.  In contrast, Sunday was dry and despite the short notice of the change of day, we had a good turn-out of residents from Berwick and beyond. Our special thanks goes to Olivia Marchant for allowing us to use her lovely garden.

The event gave us a great opportunity to get together and have some fun. The many children attending enjoyed the hobbyhorse design and puissance as well as the horse jumps. The poolside duck race was as popular as ever. There are many volunteers to thank who organised splendid stalls, contests, delicious teas and cakes as well as those who helped set-up. Without them, this event would never have happened. Greatly received were all the very kind contributions: the huge amount of beautiful pots of plants, the wide variety of bottles and the many creative jabola. The event raised  £1,002 for the village.

Our Closed Bids and live Auction of Promises were run in aid of Wilton Riding for the Disabled. Ten volunteers from the Association came to help on the day. We thank all those who donated such generous items for both Auctions and those who dug deep and were very charitable in their bids.  The Auctions raised £1,420 for our chosen charity.
